Bout of Books #20 // TBR Pile

Bout of Books 20 Readathon

At the time of this posting, I have read four books in August with two more I am hoping to get read this week!

So, what the heck? Let’s ride the momentum and give one final push for the August TBR pile with the Bout of Books Readathon next week!

The Bout of Books readathon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long readathon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 21st and runs through Sunday, August 27th in whatever time zone you are in. This is low-pressure with challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional.

Here is my TBR for this event!

My goal for this readathon is to read three books, and one is just under 500-pages so I think that’s a lot! The three books I want to read are:

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

Chances are I may have already started this depending on how my reading for the next of the week goes, but if not, this is the first priority since I have a book club discussing this. I am honestly very excited to read it.

Indelible by Adelia Saunders

I read the first chapter last month and I put it down because I got distracted by something else, but the first chapter did grab me and since this book isn’t super long so I think that I can fit it in.

Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult

I will be honest and say: this is the longest book I’ve read in some time, but it came to me on the recommendation of my mother, and its content based on the blurb sounds like it’s appropriate given the current events of the last week. You can read more about it on Goodreads here.

So that’s my TBR list for Bout of Books. Have you read any of these books on my list. Let me know in the comments below.

And be sure to let me know if you’re participating so that I can look up your TBR post as well.
